Now that Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models have been released and are flying off store shelves in over 30 countries around the world, industry watchers have started focusing their attention on the company’s other projects, including the Apple Watch. Although Apple offered a tantalizing glimpse of the Apple Watch at its September media event, details of the device’s technical specifications, pricing, and exact release date next year remain unknown. The Cupertino-based company is also expected to refresh several of its other products later this year, including its line of iPads. Here are three major rumors about Apple’s unreleased products that have emerged in the weeks following the new iPhone models’ release.

1. Apple Watch pegged for Valentine’s Day release?

According to insider sources cited by The Information, Apple was originally planning on releasing the Apple Watch in time for the holiday shopping season this year. Unfortunately, some software development issues forced Apple to delay the release until early next year.

“One person briefed by the Apple department involved in shipping the watch quipped that Apple would be ‘lucky to ship it by Valentine’s Day,’” said The Information’s sources via Business Insider. “Apple has said only that the watch would ship in early 2015, and a spokeswoman did not comment for this article.”

That news is likely to disappoint Apple smartwatch fans who may have been hoping that Apple’s “early 2015” release date referred to January. On the other hand, Apple fans who appreciate trendsetting fashion may be happy to hear that the Apple Watch will likely be making an appearance at a one-day event hosted by Parisian fashion boutique Colette on September 30, according to France’s Mac Generation site. Although Colette’s announcement does not specifically mention the Apple Watch, the circle design featured on the invitation bears an unmistakable resemblance to the app arrangement seen on the Apple Watch’s user interface.
