Hi, I want to jailbreak my iPod Touch 2G but after a lot of reading i’m not sure how or even if I can?? Should I or can I upgrade or downgrade?? Its running 3.1.3 and its model is MC806LL. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

Sn0w only works if your firmware is 5.12 if you upgraded to 3.1.3 you will get the firmwere 5.12.01 and you will be able to ONLY jailbreak. If you have the older bootloader in your 3g you can use fuzzyband from cydia and down grade your firmware, if you have the new bootloader in your 3g than you will have no luck unlocking your phone. Fuzzyband will tell you witch bootloader you have and if it will be able to dowgrade. There is no other source to unlock your phone at this time, do not pay someone who tells you they can. The new firmware 5.12.01 with the new bootloader can not be downgraded or unlocked yet by any one, blackra1n, yellowsn0w, redsn0w,pwangetool, blacksn0w. so do not listen to people who tell you its possible, till the dev team realease new info. I know this form messing with my locked phone for many hours like 24 straight. So now i just have a jailbroken iphone, or for now just a itouch because i use tmobile.

hey what you have to do is go to www.felixbruns.de go to ipod firmware go to ipod touch/ipad/iphone and click the arrow scroll down to the one that says ipod touch 2nd gen 3.1.2 7d11 click it and then hit download while thats downloading plug ipod into computer go into itunes and click on your ipod. when the ipod firmware is done downloading you go back into itunes and if you have windows than shift click update but if you have a mac then option click update but wen you do it should pop up with a window allowing you to select a program, now u need to select the ipod firmware u just downloade once you did this hit update or choose or whatever. then wen thats downloading you can go to www.blackra1n.com select the windows or mac symbol to download it for which ever type of computer you have. then wen the update for your ipod is done you need to open up the blackra1n program you downloaded and hit make it rain and thats it just wait for reboot and all of your songs and everything is still thier it just added blackrain so go into blackrain connect to internet and download cydia or rock i prefer cydia thats it hope it helped if it didnt send me a email at ark50000@yahoo.com later

If anyone knows what they are talking about get this, I have a iPhone 3GS I was at 3.1.2 fully jailbroken, also had the previous version of itunes before this fuc%ed up 9.1 sh!t came out. Anyways my comp crashed, had to do full restore. so I downloaded itunes (the 9.1) and pluged my phone in and I still dont know why but managed to restore my phone with the 3.1.3 (my modem firmware is 05.12.01) can this be fixed???????????
