iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 Release Date Could Be Pushed Back, But How Far?

We know that the iPhone launch is always the biggest talking point of the year, and even with the release of the iPhone 5S a few weeks behind us now, it does tend to overshadow the October iPad launch.
This year though, the build-up could be slow because there isn’t going to be an October 15th event.
Do We Have A Date?
There have been all kinds of reported dates circulated around the blogs and sites that report this kind of news. The initial date was a 15th> October announcement; however, I would be surprised if anything came of that with just a week left.
Other sources are saying that due to supply shortages for the iPad Mini 2, the release date has been stepped back a month to mid-November. Finally, some other sources are commenting on a 2014 release date, which is sure to anger some Apple fans who have been waiting patiently for the iPad launch.
What Do We Know?
What we do know is that there will be an iPad 5 and an iPad Mini 2, both of which will probably take on the same colour coding as the iPhone 5S (so you can expect gold, silver and space grey).
Rumour also has it that either the iPad Mini 2 or both devices will support TouchID technology, so you can buy iTunes purchases using the fingerprint sensor, and lock your device at the touch of a button.
In terms of spec, we think that the iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 will both boast that A7 and M7 chip, and they might be a little lighter and little thinner than what we have come to see so far.
The screen sizes I don’t think will change, but we could see the iPad 5 take on 2GB RAM, while the Mini 2 sports an impressive 1GB RAM.
I guess we will just have to wait with bated breath…
