Apple iPad 5 rumor roundup: iMore says release date expected in ...

Latest leaks are filtering out of the high walls of Cupertino based company. Rumors based on iMore accounts suggest that Apple iPad 5 release date is expected in April

The next generation iPad is likely for April 2013 release. Various sources have come up with this report, which, for many analysts, is April-foolish, though. Well, it is almost sure that Apple is to roll out new upgrades for both of its tablet variants; the mainstream iPad and iPad Mini. But, it is still confusing when the devices will come out of the cover. Here is our analysis into the rumors floating over the web regarding the possible next generation iPad and iPad Mini tablets.

For April Release: Rene Ritchie of iMore has recently reported that Apple is to release the next iPad in April and iPhone in August. Indeed, Ritchie realizes that it might be an April-ish rumor. Even though, he thinks that iPad 5 casings have started to leak and so the Cupertino tech maker may be much near to the release of its next tablet. “We’ve also been told an April-ish launch is getting serious consideration for the next-generation iPads, but we’re really not sure what to make of that yet,” he adds.

In fact, April/March is the typical upgrade schedule of Apple’s iPad. But, last year, Apple stunned us all with two upgrades. Apart from the March’s iPad 3, the company surfaced iPad 4 in October along with iPad mini. Therefore, analysts are a little bit confused about the release date of the next iPad. They are not even clear if Apple would release two iPads this time or only one.

iPad 5 Cases for Sale: It seems that bezel of the next iPad has leaked to market and some accessory developers in China have begun to produce cases. Alibaba, key Chinese online vendor, has put some iPad 5 cases for sales even before the official announcement of the tablet. As per Huffington Post, it is a new usual trend. Accessory makers, which might have access to OEMs of top companies, usually produce cases for their devices. Sure, most of Apple’s equipment makers are based out of China and so the chance for leak is higher.

iPad 5 Rumored Specs: Being a fresh version, the new iPad might have some changes from its predecessors. In fact, it is too early for iPad to get the next upgrade as Apple just launched a new version five months back. Anyway, let us check what new features are expected on the new iPad. As per reports, it might have a rather slim form factor. A brand new A7 CPU is another expectation. The current version has an A6X chipset-based processor. Besides this, there would be a better 2GB RAM apart from the current 1GB option.

When it comes to internal memory, the device might have 128GB version. The company has just added a 128GB model for iPad 4 early this year for business users. A better battery, camera and other features can also be expected on the new iPad. The device has to take on a strong line of rivals that include Google’s Samsung made Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and a lot of other Android and Windows RT tablets.

iPad Mini 2: The tech market also waits for a second generation iPad mini 2 as well with the new iPad 5. The original iPad mini came up late last year as a rival to Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and Google Nexus 7. A second version iPad Mini is the need of hour, at least for Apple fans. The current version is not doing will under many grounds including a non-Retina display screen, weak processor, less RAM, rough design and a lot more.

For sure, the new iPad mini 2 should feature a Retina display for high clarity. And, the device should have an advanced processor, more RAM and a cool look and feel. Indeed, to top it all, Apple should price its new iPad mini lower to compete with the small priced Android tablets in the segment. The original iPad is priced over at $300 SIM free.
