Final Mass Effect 3 DLC revealed by Bioware | Games industry news ...

The final Mass Effect 3 content packs, featuring a farewell journey with Commander Shepard, have been announced by Bioware.

The Two pieces of DLC are set to launch single file this Tuesday and next. The first, entitled Reckoning, will be a free to download add-on focused on multiplayer additions – including new characters, weapons, kits, and upgrades.

The second pack, Citadel, provides players “one final, sentimental journey with Commander Shepard,” that has the series lead reconnecting with characters across all three Mass Effect titles. It will launch on March 5th for $14.99/1200 MS Points.

"The team has poured heart and soul into Mass Effect 3: Reckoning and Mass Effect 3: Citadel," said executive producer Casey Hudson in a statement released to press. "As the launch of these chapters near, the feeling around the studio is bittersweet.

"We have always been humbled and driven by the passion of our fans for the Mass Effect trilogy," he added. "We hope fans will enjoy spending more time with some of their favorite characters — we have certainly enjoyed spending time creating them. We're excited to release this final sendoff for the trilogy and move forward into the future of the Mass Effect universe."

Both packs will be available for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, with a BioWare rep adding to Polygon that there are "no plans to bring Reckoning or Citadel to the Wii U at this time."
