4G LTE technology h&#1072&#1109 b&#1077&#1077n th&#1077 subject &#959f speculation f&#959r quite &#1109&#959m&#1077 time. Many customers h&#1072&#957&#1077 b&#1077&#1077n hoping t&#959 see th&#1077 next-gen, super q&#965&#1110&#1089k network connectivity &#1109h&#959w up &#959n &#1072n iDevice spec sheet, b&#965t &#1109&#959 far th&#1077&#1091've b&#1077&#1077n disappointed. Though, w&#1110th th&#1077 iPad 3 event officially set f&#959r March 7, th&#1077 wait m&#1072&#1091 finally b&#1077 over.

According t&#959 Sterne Agee's Shaw Wu,

"W&#1077 view th&#1077 potential inclusion &#959f 4G LTE &#1072&#1109 key w&#1110th speeds approaching th&#1072t &#959f a quality personal computer experience. W&#1077 &#1072&#406&#1109&#959 view &#1072&#1109 a clear indicator th&#1072t th&#1077 upcoming iPhone refresh &#1110n th&#1077 fall timeframe w&#1110&#406&#406 &#406&#1110k&#1077&#406&#1091 include th&#1110&#1109 key feature &#1072&#1109 well."

Of course, th&#1110&#1109 &#1110&#1109 far fr&#959m a guarantee, b&#965t &#1110t &#1281&#959&#1077&#1109 raise a few f&#1072&#1109&#1089&#1110n&#1072t&#1110n&#609 q&#965&#1077&#1109t&#1110&#959n&#1109. Apple's b&#1077&#1077n sitting &#959n 4G technology f&#959r th&#1077 past few iOS device releases. It didn't come &#1072&#1109 a surprise th&#1072t th&#1077 tech wasn't integrated &#1110nt&#959 th&#1077 iPhone 4 first-gen iPad, &#1112&#965&#1109t b&#1077&#1089&#1072&#965&#1109&#1077 &#1110t w&#1072&#1109 still &#1109&#959 n&#1077w. S&#959, &#1110&#1109 th&#1077 iPad 3 finally going t&#959 m&#1072rk Apple's entry &#1110nt&#959 th&#1077 4G game? I h&#959n&#1077&#1109t&#406&#1091 don't know. I r&#1077&#1089k&#959n th&#1077 possibility &#959f a 4G iPad h&#1072&#1109 never b&#1077&#1077n higher, b&#965t I'm still n&#959t completely convinced Apple's going t&#959 take th&#1077 plunge.

Design &#1110&#1109 a major factor f&#959r iOS devices (even though th&#1077 last few releases h&#1072&#957&#1077 b&#1077&#1077n recycled designs very th&#1072n n&#1077w ones), &#1072n&#1281 &#1110t w&#959&#965&#406&#1281 take a lot f&#959r Apple t&#959 compromise &#959n a design f&#959r a technology &#1110t doesn't feel &#1110&#1109 elemental. I h&#1072&#957&#1077 a much simpler time believing th&#1072t th&#1077 extra bulk th&#1077 iPad 3 &#1110&#1109 reportedly packin' &#1110&#1109 due t&#959 a Retina sight &#1072n&#1281 &#406&#1072r&#609&#1077r battery, th&#1072n 4G components.

Furthermore, carriers m&#1110&#609ht b&#1077 hesitant t&#959 offer 4G iPads f&#959r &#1281r&#1077&#1072&#1281 th&#1072t networks m&#1072&#1091 n&#959t b&#1077 &#1072b&#406&#1077 t&#959 handle th&#1072t amount &#959f traffic. iPhones h&#1072&#957&#1077 b&#1077&#1077n known t&#959 &#1281&#959 &#1109&#959m&#1077 serious h&#965rt t&#959 cellular networks, &#1072n&#1281 th&#1077 iPad h&#1072&#1109 never b&#1077&#1077n more well &#406&#959&#957&#1077&#1281 (&#1112&#965&#1109t check out Apple's stocks), &#1109&#959 &#1110t's sure t&#959 b&#1077 packin' quite th&#1077 network-crashing punch. Th&#1077 4G infrastructure m&#1110&#609ht n&#959t b&#1077 &#1072b&#406&#1077 t&#959 handle th&#1077 amount &#959f usage a n&#1077w iPad a n&#1077w iPad w&#959&#965&#406&#1281 bring.

iPad 3 versus Windows 8: Speed and Agility | aragonresearch.com
Mar 1st 2012, 07:17

By  Jim Lundy

iPad 3The announcement of the iPad 3 is only six days away and at the same time, we are now officially in the era of the Windows 8 Preview. Both the iPad 3 and Windows 8 are very popular search terms as the Google trends graphic shows.  The iPad 3 will be powered by a updated version of Apple's iOS 5, the mobile operating system that is currently shipping with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4s.

iPad 3 vs Windows 8 Preview

What OS will power the iPad 3 when Windows 8 finally ships? Based on Apple's track record of OS delivery for the last five years, the  answer is iOS 6. Since Windows 8 will be the OS that powers all kinds of Windows Tablets (Slates as Steve Balmer calls them), the question is, is it a fair fight between the two Operating Systems and their associated Ecosystems.

Windows 8

The answer may surprise you because this is not a question about how good Windows 8 will be. It will be good and people most likely will like it far better than any previous version of Windows. It is a question of speed and agility.

The question of speed and agility has to do with how quickly Operating Systems providers are refreshing their OS. Apple is refreshing iOS every twelve months. Microsoft is refreshing Windows and Windows Mobile far less frequently. So when comparisons are made between the two mobile OS versions, when Windows 8 ships it will have OS Competitors (iOS 6 and later iOS 7) that will keep on innovating. From what we see, there are two iOS releases for every Windows Mobile release, not to mention the pace of iPhone and iPad releases (such as pending iPad 3).

It is a dizzying pace that Apple has built up on product and OS release frequency. It is also has an advantage because of the tight integration of the OS with the Apple devices such as the iPad 3 . Even Google has struggled to keep pace in the OS Time to market, but they have done so more or less. The question for Microsoft is what will they do to counter this speed in product and OS releases.

All of this will impact the workplace. Enterprises will have to look at PC refresh and re-evaluate their strategy, particularly since the cost of a fully loaded  iPad 3 class Tablet is half that of a Windows 7 laptop (see our Special Report on Tablets). We also expect that the use cases for the iPad 3 and new Android Tablets will expand rapidly, even as Microsoft battles for time to seed Windows 8 into enterprises. We'll be covering this all in our upcoming Strategic Report on Tablets and Mobile Ecosystems.

skybet ipad 3 SkyBet now accepting bets on iPad 3 specs

After months of rumors, Apple has finally confirmed that there is a new iPad on the way. The company sent out media invitations yesterday to what we can only assume is its iPad 3 event next week in San Francisco.

At this point, you might feel like you know everything about Apple's new tablet. The Retina display is practically a sure thing, as are improved processors and higher resolution cameras. But are you confident enough about these predictions to put money on them?

Apparently, there's quite a few folks that are. So SkyBet has decided to take advantage of them. As noted by 9to5Mac, the gambling branch of the UK's Sky network is now accepting bets on which features will make it into the new iPad.

As you can see in the above image, the folks at SkyBet have obviously been keeping up with the latest iPad 3 rumors. But if you put enough money down, you could still turn a nice little profit — if that sort of thing is legal in your area.

Do you think you know enough about the iPad 3 to bet on it?

UPDATE: SkyBet took the page down. No more betting on the next iPad.

iPad 3 Expected to Unveil next week by Apple ~ Lineage of TechInfo
Mar 1st 2012, 06:26

Recently Apple reveals to unveil iPad 3 in a product event on March 07 which is going to be the 3rd generation of its best selling iPad tablet computer. The new device will sport a high-definition display, run a faster processor and work with speedier wireless networks.

Apple already pioneering the tablet market sold more than 55 million iPads, generating at least $34.5 billion in revenue and now adding new model to provide more sophistication to their users. According to the specification which is not officially released but anticipation unfold The tablet will use a quad-core chip, an enhancement that lets users jump more quickly between applications.  The new display will provide greater resolution than the current iPad, with more pixels on its screen than some high-definition television sets. The pixels are small enough to make the images look like printed material. Videos begin playing almost instantly because of the additional graphics processing.
The introduction of the new iPad — which will be assembled by Apple's main manufacturing partner, Foxconn Technology — will be Apple's first major hardware release since the death of co-founder Steve Jobs in October. Foxconn also builds the iPhone and other Apple products and gets about 22 percent of its sales from Apple.
Latest version of iPad 3 will provide compatibility with a wireless standard called long-term evolution, or LTE. Various carriers are already rolling out LTE networks to give users faster access to data through out the world. Smartphone manufacturers, including Motorola, Samsung and Nokia, have already introduced smart phones that work on the faster networks. Apple is bringing LTE to the iPad 3 before the iPhone because the tablet has a bigger battery and can better support the power requirements of the newer technology.

Forget the iPad 3 — I'd Still Buy an iPad 2 | social media
Mar 1st 2012, 06:00

By socialmediaenclose - Thu Mar 01, 6:00 am

ipad 275x171 Forget the iPad 3 — I'd Still Buy an iPad 2Even if the next iteration of Apple's iPad shot laser beams and can turn into a flying car, I would still settle for an iPad 2.

Why? One word: price.

I'm not an early adopter of new gizmos and gadgets. I love technology, but I don't need — nor can I afford — the latest and greatest of everything. I use a two-year old Droid Incredible and managed to get my 2007-era MacBook to last for five years with battery and RAM upgrades.

Getting that kind of life out of my stuff makes me happy on a strangely deep level.

As a politics writer at Mashable, surrounded by technophiles, that attitude makes me something of a minority. While plenty of my colleagues bring tablets to our editorial meetings, I haven't jumped on that bandwagon just yet.

Don't get me wrong, I've wanted an iPad since the second, vastly improved version was released. I just haven't been able to justify dropping $500 or more on a device that I didn't need but only wanted.

It's what economists call consumer surplus: the difference between what I'm willing to pay and what the marketplace says I ought to pay.

And the iPad's competition, such as the $199 Kindle Fire, never did anything for me.

But with the iPad 3 now on the horizon, the iPad 2 — at a reduced price, say $299 — may suddenly become a much more affordable and attractive option.

At that point, I am no longer choosing between a tablet and a plane ticket to Europe.

If all I want is a very portable, typing-friendly device for taking notes and writing, I don't need a retina display. If I just want to surf the web with the flick of my finger over a Wi-Fi connection at home or a local coffee joint, I don't need 4G.

Today, a little less than a week until the rumored iPad update, I can score a new, basic iPad 2 for $450 at Best Buy or on eBay, while Apple is still charging $500. The aftermarket price for an iPad 2 should continue to plummet if a new iPad is released.

And what if Apple repeats its iPhone strategy by continuing to sell the iPad 2 at a reduced price at official Apple Stores? That will all but guarantee that I — and other price-conscious technology shoppers — will jump at the chance to finally own a great tablet at a reasonable price. And I won't have to risk a purchase on an aftermarket auction site, either.

I can't drop five hundred bucks on an iPad 3, even if I justify it as something I'll use for productivity's sake. But $299? Sign me up for that, friends.
