All new surface by Microsoft is not just the tablet, Its complete PC. It comes along with a detachable keyboard. Still microsoft haven't reviled the complete specs, but it has been cleared that this device is going to give tough competition to apple's ipad3.
Microsoft have reviled two variants of surface one is operated by Windows RT operating system while other has new windows 8 Pro installed in it. Some of the major features of Surface are as follows :
Display Size:
Both the variants comes with the 10.6″ Clear-type display, but the RT version has just HD(1200 x 720) display while Windows 8 pro version is featured with a full HD (1920 x 1080) display. The resolution and pixel density are way less than the ipad3 ( 2048 x 1536 ).
The keyboard:
The surface tablet comes along with the detachable keyboard which is not just a keyboard. Its a 3mm thin cover for surface which is featured with pressure sensitive keys and a trackpad. Tablets like surface, iPad are quickly gaining up the position of laptops as the primary device for accessing the internet on the go. The Surface by microsoft has a plus-point as it provides a thin detachable keyboard + screen cover in box.
Speakers, mikes and Camera :
The camera specs are yet to be released by microsoft but the camera which is called as life-cam is angled at 22 degree in such a way that, It'll record correct image even though it is on its stands. The surface is featured with stereo speakers and dual microphones for better recording of voice.
– Surface has micro-SD card slot, ipad 3 haven't.
– Suface has maximum of 128 GB Internal storage compared to apple ipad's 64GB
– Surface lacks in display quality (~208ppi) against apples 264ppi
– The size of tablet is also quite larger compared to ipad3.
