Should I get... gtx 680, 7970, Macbook Pro, Ipad 3, or Asus Transformer Prime? 6 hrs. ago (permalink)
I have got some serious issues...  I buy and sell stuff like crazy.
I think I might have the same genetic code as EliteGeek 91

Anyway...  I have got $700.00 to spend.  I don't know if I should get a Macbook pro (save a few more bucks first of course), Ipad3, Asus Transformer Prime (with docking station keyboard), Wait for gtx 680 4 gb FTW model, etc...
I have a gtx 560 for now and its not the best, but I can play most games at medium settings

I'm so confused

iPad3 would hold it's value more than the GTX 680. Personally, that would be my choice from the 3.

I would get the TF. I have the first model and I know a ton of people who have the Prime. They are awesome! I believe there is plans to release one with a 1080p screen sometime, might be worth waiting for that.

My initial thoughts.

-  GTX 680 = Yes
-  7970 = Not much of a point for most games, GTX 680 performed slightly better in reviews with lower TDP, plus I really like NVIDIA's driver settings / NVIDIA Inspector settings.
-  Macbook Pro = The only good mac is a Big Mac
-  iPad 3 = lol
- ASUS Transformer Prime = What the heck is this?

Dual GPU cards aren't the way to go for gaming in my opinion, and in the future nobody will want a used one except for folders.

I wouldn't go MSI though, even Asus has better support then them. I'm partial to sapphire on the AMD side though.

GTX 680 all the way!

I have heard msi has a semi decent non lifetime warranty. At least they have great coolers within the twin series. If I decide to go ati for my next gpu msi is what I be grabbing. Skip the Ipad and macbook. Also skip the Asus transformer prime. The 6970 and gtx 680 are both great cards.  Since you said you cant max some of your games, I would grab a better gpu. But its up to you in the end.
