Significant progress surfaced today regarding iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. The french hacker, Pod2g has announced today on his Twitter account that he had a productive week-end. The hacker was able to find 2 big vulnerabilities, 1 kernel land and 1 root land.

Few days ago, Pod2g posted a poll on his blog asking jailbreakers to released iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak now or wait for the public release of iOS 6 after 3 months. It looks like that most of jailbreakers (more than %60) have voted for releasing iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak.
After today's announcement from Pod2g, it looks like that he may release iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak, but my own thoughts that keeping exploits to jailbreak iOS 6 is much better than jailbreaking iOS 5.1 and losing all exploits. what do you think?
