Apple has sent out media invites yesterday to an event that will be held next Wednesday, March 7th in San Francisco, California. Ever since the event was announced rumours have not stopped. Most of us do believe that this event will be held to unveil Apple's latest products to the media. This rumour was going on long before Apple even announced that they will hold a media event and was later proved to be true with the invitation cards having a picture of a tablet in the background.

iPad 3

People, so eager to find out about the iPad 3, went on analysing every detail in the picture when they found a detail that stunned us all. Why isn't the home button appearing in the picture? Is this related to the statement written at the bottom of the picture "We have Something you Really Have to See. And Touch"?
So will iPad 3 lack the home button? Gizmodo believes that it will not.

"Not only that, but there seems to be NO home button, which explains the mention of the "And touch." in their invitation. How can we know? First, the photo they are showing is on portrait mode. You can't achieve that icon spacing in the landscape mode (which is the only explanation for the lack of home button).
Moreover, the icon falls right onto the same water drop that the current iPad 2 falls while in portrait mode. The same happens with the reflection on the dock."

But there are still other rational explanations for why we can't see the home button in the photo. Maybe the iPad is in the landscape mode or simply the button could be hidden behind the user's hand! MG Siegler says that the chances of Apple leaking a major design change in one of its biggest product releases of the year via an event invitation are slim to none.
So we're all not that sure whether or not Apple will change its iPad design but one thing we all know for sure is that Apple always likes to keep us wondering giving so many hidden clues before unveiling the product.
Stay tuned on March 7th and we'll tell you all about the iPad 3 and more.
